"We needed to take a few family photos for our annual holiday card. Usually we use an iPhone and my sister-in-law to do the job. This year we decided to use Jennifer because we wanted to capture something a little more professional and we are lucky enough to have her as our neighbor. Jennifer was easy to work with and made us feel extremely comfortable - almost as if the camera was not there. She gave posing recommendations that seemed natural and conversational. Her photos came out beyond expectations to the point we printed out a bunch for our house. We will certainly be using Jennifer for family photos again. It was a pleasure to work with her and have her capture these moments of joy."

Who am I?
Hi there! I'm Jennifer, the one usually behind the camera. But for the next 30 seconds, I'm going to be front and center bringing you in to let you know a little more about me and my photography story so you can decide if I'm the right person to capture the joy and love of your family story.
I am a boy mom first and foremost. I love being outdoors, reading a good book, trying out a new recipe (especially cooked by someone else), am a lifelong learner and beginner in all sorts of things, and a total extrovert. I love people. I believe we require connection to live whole full lives and I want to capture the connection in your family.
What's my photography story?
As a child of the 80's, we had these 35mm disposable cameras that took about 24 photos and required being sent off to get the photos developed. Photography sure has changed over the years! Looking back, what I loved most was watching faces light up as they looked at a moment in time that I captured for them. The joy on their face or the out-loud laughter that ensued as they recalled that memory made me want to capture more, and more, and more. Today, this still holds true. I love the feeling of capturing a moment in time that will forever bring a smile or warm memory. This is why I love being a photographer!

What now?
If you like what you read, head over to my portfolio to see if you like my photography style. While I will make sure we get the card-worthy shot, I'm more interested in the space between the notes, the small moments that are unique to you and your family that happen when you forget I'm there at all.
